Favourite Nail Polishes for Summer

Tuesday 11 August 2015

There are always those certain colours that you reach for when going to paint your nails. Throughout the year I like to change up what nail polish I have on my nails. Spring and summer is defiantly all about the pastel and bright colours. In this post I well be showing you some of my favourite nail polishes that if you don't own any of these yourself I highly recommend you do because the colours are absolutely beautiful.

Mint Candy Apple is one of my go to favourite nail polishes of all time. Its so pretty and pastel which is perfect for the spring and summer.

The shade on the right is "bikini so teeny". I'm in love with this colour so much. Really beautiful and lasts for a while on your nails without chipping. The polish on the left is the "mint candy apple".

Muchi, muchi is a really pretty pastel pick colour and very classy. Its just so gorgeous, there is not much more to say about it.

I could not simple write a nail polish favourites without adding some sparkle polishes in with the mix as well. The polish "a cut above" (left) and "set in stones" (right) are so pretty to add on top of polish or on it's own. I do also love to add it to the tips of nails to give a little hint of sparkle.

The Body Shop Haul

Monday 15 June 2015

Recently I went to the Body Shop and picked ups few things. The Body Shop is one of my favourite stores for all things beauty and skin care. Their products are realIy great quality and if you haven't been yet I would highly recommend you go. I was running low on some of their products so I decided to replenish my shelf and try some new ones.

The tea tree line is one of my favourite sections in the store. This cool and creamy face wash had been recommend to me by one of the workers at the store. I have tried this out and have to say its absolutely amazing. When you take this off,  your face feels so nice afterwords and its really quite refreshing and leaves your face with a cooling sensation.

Tea tree BB cream works great and good for any spots that you may want to cover up. This BB Cream comes in three different shades, Light 01, Medium 02 and Dark 03. I Went for the 01 shade as it works good with my skin tone.

I had a travel size of this product before but just had to get the larger size. Vitamin E moisture cream is the best for anyone with dry skin but its also great for all skin types. You can put it on before your makeup or if you need a bit of moisture though out the day. This cream also will make you have healthy looking appearance.

Next I purchased a couple of lip glosses. You can never have enough. Plus these shades would be perfect to add to any collection.

Lastly I just had to get more of this lip and chick stain. Its perfect for everyday and lasts on your lips. I mostly ever use it on my lips but you can also dab a bit on your cheek and rub it in.

I hope you enjoyed this body shop haul. Leave what are your favourite products or recommendations from the body shop in the comments below. I hope you have a great rest of your day/evening.

Lemon Crepes

Tuesday 17 February 2015

It's Pancake day today and with that in mind I can't not post a recipe to have on this day. Last year was the first year I ever heard of pancake day. I know what you're thinking why have I not heard about this amazing, most perfect day in the past beats me. 'Never will I miss this day again' that's what I tell myself now. Lol. Even though almost ever Saturday I have some sort of pancake concoction. As you can tell I LOVE pancakes. I'm in love with the pancake. I got it for the low, low.  Ok I'll stop now!

Measure, mix, pour, flip thats all it takes to make delicious crepes. Crepes are thin pancakes originated in northwest France. They can be served with endless combinations of toppings, Nutella with strawberries, lemon with sugar and many more. Beautiful on outside and delightful to eat.

Ingredients

 Pancake mixture:

1 cup plain flour, sifted
Pinch of salt
2 eggs
13 tbsp + 1/2 tbsp milk mixed with 1/3 cup water
1/4 cup butter

Toppings:

Sugar
Lemon juice
Lemon wedges
Icing sugar (optional)

Directions:

1. In a large bowl sift the flour and salt. Next make a well in the centre of the flour and break the eggs into it. Then start whisking the eggs with the flour, incorporating any flour from around the side of the bowl.

2. Once the flour and egg is mixed together gradually add small quantities of the milk and water mixture while whisking. Lumps will slowly disappear as you mix.

3.  the batter is smooth melt 1/4 butter in a pan. Add 2 tbsp of the butter in the batter and the rest in a small bowl to use it for the pan.

4. Before making each pancake add a bit of butter in the pan. Turn the pan to the highest heat, then turn down to medium heat and add small amount of batter to thinly coat the pan. Tilt the pan in a circular motion to cover the surface evenly.

5. Cook the crepe for about half a minute or until it's golden brown. Then flip the crepe over with a flipper to cook the other side.

6. To serve, squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle sugar on top. Fold in half, then in half again to create triangles. You can also add some icing sugar on top and some lemon slices on the side.

Are you planning on having pancakes today? Let me know in the comments below.
